The Air Jordan 11 is not only one of the best and most popular Air Jordans of all time, it’s also one of the most important. Michael Jordan’s 11th signature model kicked off the Bulls’ dominant on-court run and 72-10 season, and is even considered by the shoe’s designer, Tinker Hatfield, as his favorite sneaker in Jordan’s signature line. Ahead of the 2026 return of the ‘Space Jam’ Air Jordan 11, we’re taking a look back at every Air Jordan 11 colorway.
The “Concord” Air Jordan 11 hit retail in late 1995, just a few months after its NBA Playoff debut. It was followed by the “Columbia” and “Playoff” colorways (now known as “Bred”) in 1996. The Air Jordan 11 then returned for the first time as a retro in 2000 in both original and new colorways, including the first retail release of the aforementioned “Space Jam” Jordan 11s.
The legend of the Air Jordan 11 has only grown in the years since, serving as the catalyst for Jordan Brand retros to typically release on Saturdays in an effort to limit the skipping of school to secure pairs. And while there’ve been plenty of variants along the way, including the IE Low that released alongside the original pairs, as well as a more standard low-cut, we’re focusing here on the original mid-cut Jordan 11s.
